Fez Avery is a poet from Michigan.
Fez is the author of CLAYBOY, a 2025 Jack McCarthy Book Prize winner forthcoming from Write Bloody Publishing in May 2026.
He is a PhD student at Western Michigan University and holds an MFA from Virginia Tech. He also teaches poetry at Interlochen Arts Camp.
He spends his free time with horses.
